The Manitoba Veterinary Technologists Association (MVTA) believes that Veterinary Technologists (RVTs) deserve to be celebrated not just during RVT Month, but all year round. Our incredible members work tirelessly to ensure the health and well-being of animals, making a significant impact in the world of veterinary medicine. To honour their dedication, we have exciting news to share about our "Show Your Love" campaign, and our "2026 Advancement Fund" intake. 

To participate in each activity, please click the links below and you will be able to complete our online submissions within the dates stated for the activities:

• Show Your Love - submissions starts September 1 and closes October 23, 2026
• 2026 Advancement Fund - intake starts September 1 to October 15, 2026

We are so very excited to announce the numerous lighting dedications that are taking place in the month of October in Manitoba and hope that member take a moment to visit one of these sights:

• Princess Auto Stadium on October 3, 2026 from 8pm-12am
• Esplanade Riel Bridge in Winnipeg on Oct 5, 2026
• WINNIPEG sign at the Forks on Oct 5, 2026 (pending technical issues)
• RBC Convention Centre on Oct 6, 2026.
• Selkirk Water Tower on Oct 11, 2026
• Alloway Hall at the Manitoba Museum on Oct 18-20, 2026

Recognizing RVT Month - RVT Month, celebrated each October, is a time to acknowledge and appreciate the hard work and commitment of the RVTs across our Province. It's a month when we come together to show our gratitude for their tireless efforts, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to animal care.

However, we strongly believe that our members deserve recognition and support throughout the entire year. RVTs work tirelessly every day, and their passion for animal welfare should be celebrated consistently, not just for a month.

We are also hosting our 4th annual Advanced Training Conference that is taking place October 3-4, 2026 at Red River Community College.
