All first year Red River College Polytechnic students are eligible for the award and is selected by the Veterinary Technology staff at RRCP. The award is given to the student with the highest academic performance in the first year of the program. The winner receives a monetary award from the Association which is presented at a luncheon hosted by the Veterinary Technology program in the fall of each year.

All graduating second year Red River College Polytechnic Veterinary Technology Program students are eligible for the award and is selected by the RRCP Veterinary Technology second year graduating class. The winner receives a monetary award from the Association and a personalized stethoscope.
