I know many RVTs are hesitant to work in an emergency clinic, but let me tell you, it’s been the most rewarding and exciting place to work in my career! No day is ever the same, and there’s always a new cool case that comes through our doors. We work closely with many rescues, the Winnipeg Humane Society and Prairie Wildlife. Our RVTs get to use every skill in their repertoire plus learn new ones and feel like they make a difference!
WAEH is privately owned and has been working in collaboration with Pembina Veterinary Hospital providing 24 hours service to Manitoba’s pets since 1973. We are seeking a motivated and positive RVT with a strong work ethic to work alongside experienced RVTs and veterinarians. We need an individual who wants to work in an exciting, busy and friendly work environment to provide the best care possible to our patients.
We value all our technologists’ skills and training! Critical care nursing and surgical nursing skills are an asset and are crucial to patient outcomes. Our newly renovated hospital is very well equipped with digital x-ray, an ultrasound machine, state of the art diagnostic and surgical equipment and advanced anesthetic monitoring equipment. The schedule is on a 2 week rotation and therefore you receive every 2nd weekend off (off Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
