Graydon Vet, a privately owned mixed animal clinic located in St Pierre-Jolys (30 minutes South of Winnipeg on Hwy 59), is seeking a professional and goal-oriented Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our fun-loving team. As a candidate, you will be fully utilized and compensated appropriately, and based on YOUR needs.
We are looking for someone who wants to feel valued and appreciated while being allowed to use their technical skills to deliver current, up-to-date patient care. The ideal candidate must want to work in an environment where the staff genuinely get along, care about one another, and where every staff member is treated equally and respected for the unique individual they are. Our experienced RVTs have complementary strengths, which make them an excellent mentoring team. Our environment is one where opinions and constructive policy changes are valued and encouraged.
A typical workday for our RVTs includes surgery prep and monitoring, assisting in lab diagnostics, performing dental X-rays/prophys, administering treatment plans, and general care for in-house patients. With a growing team, we plan to continue to expand the services offered and performed by our technologists. The clinic is currently open Monday to Friday from 9 am – 5 pm, with shifts scheduled between 8 am and 6 pm. We have all the standard in-house diagnostics one has come to expect from general practice.
Our compensation package includes the standard dues, hourly wage, CE allowance; including local travel/lodging, uniform allowance, health/dental plan, and staff pet discounts. For paid time off we start our full-time staff at 15 days. (Conventional 2 weeks PLUS 4 personal days off as well as your birthday off.) We also offer tuition repayment assistance, moving reimbursement, rent assistance, or other compensation depending on the candidate’s needs. We are open to suggestions, and we realize no one compensation package fits everyone’s needs.

As part of our hiring process, we offer a working interview where you can spend some time getting to know our team, our clinic, and our patients. This allows us to see how you work in a clinical setting and gives you the opportunity to experience what it’s like to work at Graydon Vet. During the working interview, you will be able to shadow our RVTs and assist in tasks such as surgery prep, lab diagnostics, and patient care. We believe that a working interview is a great way for both parties to determine if we are the right fit for each other.
