Sherbrook Animal Hospital is a newly renovated, compassionate, high-quality veterinary practice dedicated to providing exceptional care for pets and their families. Our team of skilled professionals is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of animals through advanced medical treatments, state-of-the-art equipment, and a client-centered approach. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Veterinary Technologist to join our team.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians in diagnosing and treating animals.
Perform laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis.
Take and develop X-rays.
Administer medications, vaccines, and anesthesia under veterinary supervision.
Monitor and care for animals before, during, and after procedures.
Educate pet owners on proper care and treatment.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with veterinary regulations.
Assist in surgical procedures and emergency care.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of medical equipment and workspaces.
Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Veterinary Technology
MVMA and MVTA licensing.
Experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting is preferred (new grads welcome)
Strong animal handling and patient care skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with compassion.
